Vintage Sniper Matches will be fired first on double match days.
Because we will have to cover all the rules we will have to be there by 7:30 am. The Vintage Sniper ( 1953 and earlier ) shooter will fill the relays first. Any room left over can be filled by the newer rifle groups. Any rifle with a scope may be fired.
This is a team match. Shooters will work as a pair, a shooter and a spotter, and rotate positions for both persons to shoot. It is fired from the 300 and 500 yard line. All shooting is from the prone position and is fired from 2 sand bags or a sling but not both. Shooters must bring their own sand bags. No Vee type bags are allowed.
There will be a sighting period at the 300 yard line. 10 rounds fired for score, one round at a time, single loaded, for each team member from the 300 and the 500 yard lines. Firing will be done at the standard NRA High Power Rifle 300 yard and 500 yard targets. Everyone must preregister. Anyone with questions should call George Eberhardt at 502-724-8970, the earlier the better.
Shoot both your favorite matches the same day.
We will begin squadding the Garand Matches at 8:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time with the first round down range at 9:00.
They will both be 30 round matches with 5 sighters.
M1 Garand first Match and the As Issued Military Match second.
Reduction in Match Fees as of June, 2011!!!
Entry Fees: $10 dollars for members and $15 dollars for non-members per match.
Shoot both matches for $15 for members and $25 for non members.
These will be CMP sanctioned matches and will be listed on their web sight.
