NRA Certified Reloading Instructor
Need Assistance Learning to Reload? Don't know anyone that reloads? Want a little help getting the Most from your Equipment? Having trouble deciding exactly what Equipment to get?
Try mine and let’s decide how to make your Reloading Experience the best that it can be.
Hi. My name is Dennis McLeod. I am an NRA Life Endowment Member, an NRA Certified Reloading Instructor, and an NRA Certified Rifle Instructor. Reloading is one of my favorite hobbies and I want to share it with as many good people as I can. I believe, that if more responsible folks get involved in Shooting Sports and other related activities, we will all benefit from the association and the Gun Control fanatics will have a harder time taking these activities away from us.
One of the main reasons that we reload is the savings that can be realized. We can also resurrect some of those old firearms that we have a hard time getting ammo for. We can even fabricate ammo that was never manufactured as a factory offering. Another distinct benefit is that a particular rifle that shoots respectably with factory or military surplus ammo may be coaxed into that elusive sub MOA group with the correct selection of bullet, powder, case and primer, and a few subtle tricks. These tricks are simply the sum of knowledge that has been generated over many years by many shooters. We can explore these tricks after you get the hang of creating your own ammo from scratch.
My equipment consists of 5 Dillon Progressive Presses, an RCBS Rockchucker Single Stage Press, some Lyman 310 Tong tools, and a few of the Original Lee HandLoaders, along with a myriad of other related items, including priming tools, trimmers, tumblers, and other machines.
I have most of the popular caliber combination setups, and would enjoy teaching you to get the most out of your time and energy in this field. You are invited to gather up all of your empty cases and come to my shop. Together, we will embark on a voyage that I am sure you will enjoy.
I am offering to teach the full NRA Reloading Course for Metallic Cartridges for a nominal fee of $90 for a single adult. Group rates as low as $55 per adult. This covers the NRA Course booklets and the test. The maximum class size is 6 students. Well behaved children under 16 are welcome at no additional charge.
Simple advice or assistance is always offered at no charge.
We will speak on the phone to establish the degree of training that you want or need, and see what particular cartridges you want to reload. If necessary, we will procure the supplies specific to your needs and set up dates for the class/classes. The training sessions can be as short as a couple of hours for introductory instruction, or they can take 8 hours for the NRA course and 8 hours or more for additional specialized attention. The class can be for one person or as many as 6 people. I can accommodate most any schedule and will hold classes at night or on the weekends. After completion of the course, we can take your newly filled cases and travel to a nearby range to empty them. Thus, fulfilling the Circle Of Life of a Metallic Cartridge.
My machine shop is located in Buckner, KY, and my reloading equipment is set up at my home in La Grange, KY.
Give me a call. Let’s talk about it. Always free of charge.
